More Perplexing Articles . . .

New Site Graphics Proposed
Posted Friday, September 22 @ 23:00:00 PDT by Brendan
As one of the oldest newspapers in the world, Perplexing Times has been online for as long as anyone around here can recall. Surely throughout my whole memory, and I know first hand it's been online since long before baby brother Mr. Dominic Benjamin was even born. But all this time we've had the same graphics, same appearance and the same slogan. Does that mean it's golden or that it's time for a change?

Search Engines Do Amazing Work for Us, for Free
Posted Thursday, September 21 @ 12:00:00 PDT by Brendan
When this site (and this writer) was in its infancy, one thing we wanted to put in place was a clever system for searching through old articles. We tinkered with an on-site system but it didn't work very well, so we went with the industry leader in searching and sorting; Google. And I must say, if you haven't tried it out, you really should, it works like a charm!

College Fund Update, 2k-ot-6
Posted Wednesday, September 20 @ 23:00:00 PDT by Brendan
We haven't celebrated too many landmarks throughout our history, unless you count every birthday, holiday, change of season or our 300th and 1,000th articles. As part of our informal week of celebration for this 1,000th article, it's time to update the readers on the poor state of our college funding.

Traffic Continues Upward Swaaaang
Posted Tuesday, September 19 @ 23:00:00 PDT by Brendan
During our first year we did some pretty great work towards the growth of traffic. Even in our first month we were named Yahoo Pick of the Day, and Cool Site of the Day shortly thereafter, but after all that was done it got awfully quiet and we wondered if we'd ever catch on or just go the way of the 8-track.

Perplexing Times Celebrates Magic 1,000th Article
Posted Monday, September 18 @ 04:00:00 PDT by Brendan
Well friends, it's taken my whole life to do it (not to mention the lives of my writing staff) but we've done it. We've hit our greatest landmark to date, and today, with the publication of this article, we're bigger and grander than ever before. Today, with mathematics as my witness, Perplexing Times has turned one thousand.

Low-Carb Delight Discovered in Breadless Sammich
Posted Sunday, September 17 @ 23:00:00 PDT by Brendan
As we all grow older we notice our pants fitting snugger and snugger by the day. Okay, maybe not every day, despite some Gatorade-induced saline bloating, but week-to-week and month-to-month it gets pretty hard to ignore. One way to trim the calories is by reducing your intake of carbohydrates, and if that's your thing, I've found just the solution you've been hankering worse than a bowl of pasta.

Costume Special Part-2 Play-Do Demon
Posted Saturday, September 16 @ 02:00:00 PDT by Brendan
As part of our ongoing commitment to helping parents and children alike determine which are the very best costumes to wear this Halloween holiday season, we welcome you to this, the second installment in our multi-part series dedicated to listing as many of your costume options for the season. Some are supernova hot this season while others are less exciting, and others still are outright terrible, such as the ones outlined in today's review.
